St Bess FC continue to lead Super League

New Holland outscored Villa United 5-4 for their second victory of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) National Super League.

But St Elizabeth-based New Holland, despite the victory, remain at the foot of the table on eight points from 15 games. Villa United of Manchester remained in eighth position on 17 points.

Real Treasure Beach were the week’s only other winner after beating Porus FC of Manchester 2-0. Real Treasure Beach moved to 25 points from 16 games while Porus dropped to ninth on 15 points.

Leaders St Bess FC dropped points for the fifth time this season after ending 0-0 with fellow St Elizabeth team Black Stars.

St Bess, however, maintained their lead atop the 10-team standings with 36 points.

Los Perfectos moved up to second with 27 points after their 1-1 draw with Alligator Pond, who are sixth on 21 points.

Downs United, joint fifth on 21 points, and Holland PYC ended 0-0.
