Bonnick scores 94 points as Ardenne demolish Bridgeport

Ardenne had a massive win over Bridgeport High in Wednesday's latest set of matches in the ISSA urban under-19 schoolboy basketball competition, dismissing their rivals 158-26.

In the highest team score of the competition so far, the winners were led by a strong all-round performance from the consistent Mohan Bonnick. Bonnick just fell short of the century mark, finishing with 94 points. He also ended with 39 rebounds, 13 blocks, and 13 steals.

Kingston College (KC) and St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) also secured wins on the day. KC, with 21 points from Kishane Bedoram, defeated Yallahs High 63-27. STATHS dismissed Vauxhall 38-18, with Leovalie Patterson scoring 29 points and pulling down 19 rebounds.

STATHS registered a double win on the day, as their under-16 team stopped Vauxhall High 77-61.

There were also games in the rural competition, with Manchester High enjoying double success. First, their under-16 team set the stage with a big 93-19 win over Christiana High, before their senior team blew away the same opponent 106-14

In under-19 action, Omar Daley had 28 points and 14 rebounds and was assisted by Shane Bogle, who had 10 rebounds and 10 steals.
