Megan Tapper out of 100m hurdles due to injury
Maurice Wilson, Team Jamaica's technical leader, has confirmed that women's 100-metre hurdles national champion Megan Tapper has withdrawn from the Tokyo World Athletics Championships.
Wilson said the team has been informed that Tapper is injured and will be unable to line up in the sprint hurdles event.
With the timing of the withdrawal and the event set for Saturday at 9:05 p.m. Jamaica time, Kerrica Hill, the team's alternate, will not be able to replace Tapper.
Jamaica will be represented by Amoi Brown, Ackera Nugent and Danielle Williams in the event.
